American Rag invites you to attend a live casting call or submit online for the upcoming RAGGED ROAD trip. Five young adults will be selected to join the journey of a lifetime: A summer road trip on the American Rag tour bus, traveling cross country meeting music industry innovators along the way. It's a crash course to your dream gig, as well as the summer trip of a lifetime for young people who are passionate about the music industry.
RAGGED ROAD is the documentary that will capture the five individuals as they journey across America, experiencing the different opportunities the business has to offer. The group will visit seven music-focused cities, see landmark venues, experience different aspects of the music industry, and meet with various professionals who make music a part of their living. Ragged Road will highlight the story of each cast member as they experience this once in a lifetime opportunity.
- WHO:
- Guys and girls ages 18-24 who are passionate about the music industry. Do you dream of becoming a producer, recording artist, choreographer, DJ or label exec? Then you're who we're looking for.
- WHAT:
- RAGGED ROAD is a documentary, a road trip, and an all-access pass inside and behind the scenes of the music industry. It's also an opportunity to meet and collaborate with talented peers who are equally passionate about the music business.

The road is yours. Are you ready to run it?
To be considered for participation in the Ragged Road journey and documentary, you must be a legal resident of the 50 United States or District of Columbia and be between 18 and 24 years of age at the time you submit your application. You need to have a serious interest in music and the desire to pursue a career in the music industry. You have to be a high school graduate, in good health and without a legal record. If selected, you must be available for the road tour and production of the Ragged Road documentary during the month of August 2008, as well as for other events related to Ragged Road, which may include, among other things, telephone interviews before the Ragged Road tour, a photo shoot in June 2008 and a fashion event in July 2008. Employees of Macy's, Inc., its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies and their immediate family members and others living in their households are not eligible to apply.
